Research Center for Bioeconomy

The challenges for Bioeconomy are complex and heavily dependent on research efforts. Answers can only be found if researchers work in interdisciplinary projects with other subject areas.

The task of the Hohenheim Research Center for Bioeconomy is to establish and implement this interdisciplinary topic in a targeted and sustainable manner at the University of Hohenheim. The basis of Bioeconomy research at the University of Hohenheim is the definition in the current structural and development plan.

Objectives of the Research Center

  •  Networking researchers from the areas of agricultural, natural, business, economic, and social sciences and supporting them in joint projects
  • Including the University in important national and international committees and initiatives and network with central stakeholders.
  • Procuring and carrying out large national and international cooperation projects.

Offers from the Research Center

  • Advising on applications and/or managing national and international cooperation projects.
  • Coordination of international network projects and platforms.
  • Support in finding possible project partners and putting together the consortium as well as developing the project idea, writing the application, communicating, and coordinating with the funding party.
